Red Velvet Valentine's Latte

Some mornings like to take their time, and so should you. Stir up a latte that’s sweet, a little naughty, and impossible to resist...

Vanilla cocoa butter syrup: Step 1

Add the caster sugar, water, vanilla extract and cocoa butter to a saucepan. Place over medium heat and gently stir until the sugar has fully dissolved.

Pour the syrup mixture into a jug (plastic is ideal) and place it in the fridge to chill.

Once the cocoa butter has solidified on top, gently remove this layer with a spoon and strain the syrup through a mesh sieve to remove any small particles.

(Store the syrup in a sealed container in the fridge for up to two weeks.)

Red Velvet Latte Step 1

Pour a double shot of HOUSE Espresso into a latte glass or mug...
Our favourite recipe:

- 18g ground coffee
- Brewed to 40–45g liquid espresso
- 26 to 30 seconds extraction time

Red Velvet Latte Step 2

Add a drop or two of red food coloring and 10-15ml syrup to the espresso. Stir in.

Texture and heat your milk of choice to a creamy latte consistency.

Garnish with chocolate shavings for that special someone still under the covers... Serve with a smile ;)
