    HOSPITAL OF HOPE

In 2020, together with the Rebuild Women’s Hope coffee cooperative (RWH) we built the Hospital of Hope for the community on Idjwi Island, DRC. Pledging to raise a further $60,000, we're now helping to fund an intensive care unit and operating theatre for the hospital. To make this possible, we're donating 100% of the profits from our Rebuild Women’s Hope coffee collection.

    INTRODUCING NOELLA

Noella Mweragi is a young 4-year-old, living on Idjwi Island in DRC. She is the 4th child of Furaha and David, members of Rebuild Women's Hope cooperative, and was the first baby to be born into the safety of a clinic bed at the newly opened Hospital of Hope in Dec 2020. Since Noella's birth, over 4,000 babies have now been safely delivered at the clinic.

  • FOUNDATIONS ARE LAID

With construction underway at the Hospital of Hope, we're ever closer to making a truly life-saving difference for the local community and the many families fleeing conflict on the mainland. Access to healthcare has become even more crucial. This expansion will strengthen prenatal and postnatal support for mothers and babies, reduce the need for dangerous journeys across Lake Kivu for emergency treatment, and create local jobs and training opportunities, supporting the island community beyond healthcare.
