Step 1
Brew your classic espresso using our espresso guide:
- Use 18g of ground coffee
- Extract 36–40g of espresso
- Aim for a 24–28 second extraction time
Step 2
Pour the freshly brewed espresso into a blender. Add the coffee liqueur, vodka, and vanilla syrup.
Step 3
Add crushed ice or ice cubes—a full martini glass worth should be plenty. Blend on high for about 1 minute, or until smooth.
Step 4
Pour into a chilled martini glass and garnish with three coffee beans.
Step 5
Serve immediately—and enjoy!
What’s the Best Coffee to Use in an Espresso Martini?
Go with a bold, espresso blend if you like your espresso martini on the stronger side. A rich, full-bodied profile—like a traditional Italian roast—brings depth and balance, with a bitter cocoa finish that really hits the spot.
We recommend our CLASSIC espresso which also happens to be our most caffeinated blend—perfect for starting your day with an Americano, powering through with a straight espresso, or taking your espresso martini to the next level.
